Privacy Policy
How the Brown Noise website and the Brown Noise Uploader application handle information. Last updated: 2026-10-05.
This Privacy Policy covers two things: (1) the Brown Noise website at brownnoisenetwork.com, and (2) Brown Noise Uploader, the private application the operator uses to run the Brown Noise YouTube channels.
The website
- The website is a set of static informational pages.
- It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party trackers or advertising.
- It does not ask for, collect, or store any personal information from visitors. There are no accounts and no forms that submit data.
- Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability; those are handled under the hosting provider’s own policies and are not used by us to identify or profile visitors.
- Links to YouTube and other third-party sites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Brown Noise Uploader (our YouTube application)
Brown Noise Uploader is operated solely by the owner of the Brown Noise channels to publish and manage the network’s own scheduled livestreams. It is not a public sign-up service and has no end users other than the operator.
Google/YouTube data it accesses
- The application uses YouTube API Services. With the operator’s Google authorization, it manages the operator’s own YouTube channels: creating and running scheduled live broadcasts, setting video metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists), posting the channels’ own pinned comments, and reading the channels’ own analytics on a read-only basis.
- It accesses only the operator’s own channels. It does not access, read, or modify any other person’s YouTube account or data.
How that data is stored and used
- OAuth credentials (tokens) are stored only on the operator’s own production computer. They are never sold, shared, published, or transmitted to any third party.
- Data obtained through the YouTube API is used only to operate the operator’s own channels — not for advertising, not for profiling, and not transferred to others.
- Analytics access is strictly read-only.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Brown Noise Uploader’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The application also complies with the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access
The operator can review and revoke this application’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Data retention & deletion
Because the website collects no visitor data, there is nothing for a visitor to request deletion of. The application’s locally-stored credentials are deleted when the operator revokes access or removes them from the production machine.
Children
The website and channels are general-audience ambient audio and are not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
